The prestigious gospel awards Groove Awards hosted by Mo Sound Entertainment has been a great milestone in the Kenyan gospel ministry as it has brought so many gospel artists and acts in the limelight. Listening to someone’s music is one thing but going ahead and appreciating them is even a much bigger thing that Mo Sound has exemplified in its Annual Groove Awards.
Willy Paul is one of the artists whom Groove Awards brought into the limelight or public eye if many would ask. This is through awarding him with two awards which are new artist of the year 2012 and Male artist of the year 2013. These two awards have really played a major role in changing Willy Paul’s life and that’s where Willy decided its time to take a break and give others a chance.
If you would look at the 2014 Groove Awards nominees you would notice that theirs no nomination for Willy Paul. Now he has decided to share with his fans on this by stating :
“To all my fans out there, this is a public statement about groove awards.. i decided that this year i didn’t want to be nominated because there are so many new talents that need to be acknowledged.. so i stepped down for my fellow new artists.. i won the groove awards new artist in the year 2012 followed by the male artist in the year 2013.. what more can i ask for??”
