The hash tag #Kiderograss has been trending on twitter the since morning after Nairobi residents filmed Nairobi County workers uprooting the recently planted grass.
Nairobians were furious because the county government decided to uproot the grass just days after President Barack Obama left the country . Immediately they took their frustrations on tweet #kiderograss that trended within hours.
With the pressure being too much the Nairobi Governor Dr.Evans Kidero came out to defend the uprooting stating:
“Please take note that NO ONE is uprooting #KideroGrass. The appointed contractor is restoring the ground in order to do the proper planting. #KideroGrass is well on course, the quality of grass selected takes time to grow!”
