The fear of going back to West gate mall might have gripped the former employees and workers who were designated to work at the mall but for Nakumatt Branch Manager, he says he is not afraid. The Mall is set to open on Saturday 18th July after the terror attack and Nakumatt manager is one of the many who have come out boldly to state that he is ready to start working when the mall re-opens.

It is very vital to encourage many Kenyans to turn up in numbers to visit the mall when its re-opened so as to show solidarity for those who lost their loved ones and so that our economy can grow. If fear is our shield then no business would be carried out by an entrepreneur who lives in Mandera or a person who has lost loved ones from the vice of terrorism.

“I am not afraid. You can die anywhere, on your way home, on the streets. If you were to die from a terror attack it may find you anywhere even in social places,” he told Daily Nation.

He recalled that a diplomatic police officer who was among the first ones to respond was told to throw his pistol before being shot just a few feet away from the counter where Mr Muturi and other staff were standing.

He said that most of the people who died were those that thought the attackers were ordinary robbers and rushed to look for hiding places instead of searching for exits.

“When they came, a number of people who were outside the supermarket rushed in instead of looking for exit points. For over an hour we tried to get out as many as we could,” he recalled.

For the past two years he has worked in three different stores belonging to the company but decided to come back to his original work station

GOD Is Great!! Witness : “Westgate Terrorist Shot At Me Several Times But Not Even A Single Bullet Hit Me”

How Great Is Our GOD ?? Thats how I am going to start this story and hope at the end you tell me how Great HE is.

great-is-the-lord

Now moving on an eye witness who faced death on her face lives to tell the tale of how a terrorist shot at her several times but not even a single bullet hit her. I thought wow how did this happen ? How come ? but at the end I say it is the hand of GOD that saved her as she had a story to tell.

According to the telegraph :

A woman named as  Caroline, was cowering beneath a hand-cart where artworks she sold were displayed when she locked eyes with a “terrorist woman” on the balcony of the floor above.

” She was high up but not far from me, close enough that I saw her looking along the floor where I was until she saw me…

She stopped and aimed at me and then opened fire. All of the bullets did not hit me, I don’t know how that happened. She stopped firing at me for a moment and looked away and I jumped up and ran around a corner and that’s how I escaped.

She had pale skin and long black hair, and was wearing a baggy black top. I can’t remember very much, but I remember she had pale skin. I don’t think that she was a European, I thought she was Arab or Indian, but I cannot be sure because I was so terrified and I just wanted to run away from there.”

That is how I leave the story…

The words from the 4 year old Elliot Prior were  : “You Are A Bad Man” , and the terrorist spared the boy and asked for forgiveness. Elliot prior confronted the gunman after the gunman had shot his mother on the leg while he was standing with his sister Amelie.

Horror: Their mother, Amber, walks past the body of a man as they escape the Westgate shopping centre

After Elliot saw his mother crying in pain He bravely told him “You Are A Very Bad Man” and the terrorist ended up asking for forgiveness saying “Please Forgive Me We Are Not Monsters”. The amazing thing is that the terrorist offered Choclate Mass Bars to him and his sister after seeking for forgiveness.

According to the Daily Mail:

His mother, Amber, told of her family’s terrifying escape from Al Shabaab terrorists who butchered 62 people in the Nairobi shopping centre.

The film producer had been queuing to buy milk in Nairobi’s Westgate Shopping Centre when the militants struck.

She hid under a cold meat counter in the Nakumatt supermarket for an hour-and-a-half with her children beneath her before terrorists finally found them and shot her in the thigh.

After discovering the advertising producer was of French origin, the men began to plead with her and claimed that the Muslim faith ‘was not a bad one’.

‘He told me I had to change my religion to Islam and said “do you forgive us? Do you forgive us?’, the mother told The Independent.

‘Naturally, I was going to say whatever they wanted and they let us go’.

Bizarrely, the terrorists handed the children Mars bars before they fled with two other children
