“I’m contractually committed, yet I want to reflect my God even with these executives and behind the scenes people,” Campbell said in an interview with a top magazine  . “I’m not compromising my faith by no stretch of the imagination.”

The 41-year-old mother of five built a career as one half of the gospel music duo Mary Mary along with her sister Erica Campbell, who also serves as her reality television co-star. While Tina is the more outspoken of the sisters, she admits that this season is harder for her to film because of her decision to release negativity in her life.

“I’m not what TV likes. TV likes drama and I have a very big personality, [and] I think TV likes that kind of person, but, they’re looking for fear and problems,” Tina said. “I ain’t that. So it’s challenging for me at times. They’ve got to be creative when they’re taping my life and things.”

We Prayed And Fasted : Tina Of ‘Mary Mary’ Speaks On Standing By Her Husband After He Was Unfaithful In Marriage

After battling issues with her husband in 2013, gospel artist Tina Campbell is using her experience to empower women by writing a book about finding a new version of herself in the Bible.

“Maybe someone could heal by watching me heal. I kinda made (that decision) in the spur of the moment. I didn’t know how challenging the process of healing was going to be, but I made the decision in the spur of the moment,” Tina said.

She revealed that her initial reaction to finding out of her husband’s multiple infidelities was to hurt back, and that in the heat of her rage, she even tried to stab him.

But after her bout with depression, she and her husband have decided to fight back against the evil that has plagued their relationship and entered into a 30 day fast for deliverance and restoration.

“If you are able to, please fast and/or pray daily that God would answer our prayers and give us a deeper love & commitment to him and to each other.

We believe he still works miracles and he can give us the greatest marriage we could have ever imagined. We can pray alone BUT your prayers will certainly help,” she said in a message to friends and fans at the height of the controversy.

Her sister Erica said that Tina’s book is based on her own prayers and reflections, and is intended to encourage women who are going through their own hardships in life.
