System Unit run by DJ MO and his team have now got their moment of appreciation after they got a multiple of 15 nominations for Groove Awards.
From the CEO himself DJ MO he received 2 nominations that is for himself as a Deejay and for his gospel show Cross over 101 with Faith Muturi.

System Unit are back again to bring you nothing but the best in refreshing events. System unit run by DJ MO will be hosting a FREE concert called “Cross Konnect” at Day star university.
Cross Konnect is an event which system unit started a few years back with aim of spreading the word to the youth. Usually hosted at Timers Restaurant the company so that it would be great to expand their reach by hosting a tour.
This is the second event that they will be holding in a series of tours to be held in Universities around Kenya. Having hosted the 1st one in Kenyatta University, System Unit have now chosen to take their tour to Daystar university.
Lots of gospel artistes are expected to perform for the campus students which include : BAHATI , DK KWENYE BEAT, THEE MOG , SIZE 8 , HOPE KID , BENACHI , SAINT STIVO , DJ MO , ALTARQUEENS , DJ TEROTS , DJ TABZ , MC NJUGUSH
The event will take place on 13th March starting from 6pm to 11PM.

DJ MO Ventures Into The Matatu Industry
System Unit is one company that has grown from one level to another having great minds like DJ Mo and Alemba Hype Masta behind it.
System Unit have brought up new artistes, dancers hype men and great skilled Deejays into the gospel ministry. Having a show on NTV called Cross Over 101 was their starting point to great things which has later opened great for DJ Mo and the whole crew.
Now DJ Mo being the CEO has seen the importance of having a means of transport in the company and now they have acquired a ride for the unit. No more taxis or hitching rides any more. They now have their own Matatu ride which will enable them advance their services of Deejay unit, Equipment hire, and sound hiring.

DJ Mo of System Unit has been under the radar for a while now and we got a lot of questions of why he is not there in the lime light and reason he took a break from Cross Connekt.
This year has been a great year for him for DJ MO of System Unit first let’s look at what he has achieved.
1. Hosting the first System Rave In January 2013
2. Winning Groove Awards
3. Being Chosen as the main Gospel Deejay On Milo Kid’s Festival
4. Being Chosen as the main gospel DJ on Nescafe Red Sensation Party.
5. Marrying Size 8 / Linet Munyali
These are just a few of what he has achieved this year not with standing the corporate contracts he has received this year. This year for sure has been busy for him but the good thing is that DJ Mo is set to return with a bang with a gift for all the System unit friends and fans.
DJ Mo will be bringing you System Rave Season 3 this December 14th dubbed Christmas Edition. This will be the 3rd rave after hosting two others in January and August.

Under the main man Award winning Deejay of the year DJ Mo topa de top 18 students have finally graduated from the top school. They will now be free to share the same stage with other gospel deejay’s in the gospel ministry.

Deejay Mo/Sammy Muraya one of the proprietor’s behind the brand System Unit a gospel deejay academy is just having a year of GOD’s favor.
Now we had an interview with DJ Mo Kenya also known as Topa Di Top A VJ and co-host on NTV Cross Over 101 and also a deejay at Capital FM.
1. Going To Events And Being Told To Play Secular Music : DJ MO says he had to turn down requests to play music.
2. Making Money was a Challenge as a gospel deejay : He used to be called to gospel events and organizers wanted him to mix for free.
3. The Disc Jockey Decks and whole set up cost him not less than Ksh. 500,000/=
4. He Turned down great offers to play secular music in secular events.
5. Being Paid little money
DJ Mo says when he started he used to be paid very little money “Pesa Kidogo” which was not able to consume rate his daily needs.
6. Viewers requesting songs and asking him to play it on demand
Handling this was a great challenge to him he says as not many listeners would understand that airplay time is limited and not all songs can be played.
7. How Do You Handle Ladies : Ladies will flock to you once you are a renown deejay and how do you stand a christian and as a man.
8. Finding the right girl was a challenge :
The right girl was a big challenge as many ladies liked him and how to separate true ones and those who liked him as a “celebrity”.
9. How to make his way to the top as a deejay : He didn’t know or have the means of going to a deejay school and luckily his friend helped him to get his way in.
10. Playing music the whole night and later on having a busy schedule : He has had events going from early night till morning and also at times having event after event which made him not have enough sleep.

Kenyan Christian Jam Session was an idea initiated by System unit and now they have decided to take a break.
System unit came up with an idea of creating an avenue for the young people where they can come and hangout on Sundays afternoon in a positive way and that’s how Cross Connekt was born the first christian jam-session.
On their official press release :
