Groove Winners : Bahati And Sara K Receive A Cheque Of Ksh.200,000 Each From President UHURU

H.E the President Uhuru Kenyatta fulfilled his promise of awarding groove award winners by giving a cheque of Ksh. 200,000/- to both Bahati and Sarah Kiarie.

This promise was revealed during Groove Awards nomination night at theArboretum, Nairobi by State House’s director of Digital, New Media and Diaspora Affairs Dennis Itumbi and last week the winners received their monetary award.

According to the Star the President had assured his support for music and other arts industries, saying that his government is steadfast in making sure such industries are given the full attention and commitment they deserve.

This would be the 1st time award winners have received monetary awards at Groove Awards and how great was this for the artistes.

The cheques were presented to the artistes through CS of Devolution and Planning Anne Waiguru who has been playing a vital role in spear heading the development of the youth in the country.
