A crowd of Kenyans leaving in Uganda pushed each other in excitement of seeing and greeting president Uhuru Kenyatta. Some wanted to greet him while others just wanted to take a photo of him .

Tribalism and negative ethnicity are some of the issues affecting our country right now thanks to three young from the North Eastern Kenya who are aware of this fact and have been bold enough to preach against these vices.
Their zeal and commitment caught the attention of H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta that he had to take time to appreciate them for the great initiative.
In a statement release on the president’s social platforms he said;
“I commend youths from North Eastern who walked for almost a 1000 kilometres preaching peace and unity. Today I met three of the young men who managed to finish the 1000 kilometre “Walk of Hope”. Noordin Badil Tube, Ahmednour Saleh Mohamud, and Salah Mohamed Abdinour trekked from Garissa to Mandera during the month of Ramadhan when they were fasting.
The North Eastern youth have set a good example and have encouraged young people across the country to be at the forefront in the search for solutions to the challenges facing the country including insecurity. Young people have a big role to play in consolidating the country’s unity and promoting peace. Kenya’s prosperity lies in our unity and everyone of us playing their part. To do that we have to shun tribalism and negative ethnicity. The youth should be brought on board and facilitated to fully participate in addressing challenges facing the North Eastern region.”

H.E President Uhuru Mwigai Kenyatta Has been chosen as the Africa’s President of the year 2014/2015 because of his exemplary leadership.
Uhuru was voted for the Africa Education and Leadership Awards for building consensus locally and abroad and supervise solutions that address Kenyan issues.
A number of university students from the institution of higher learning also recognized the president for kick starting progressive economic programmes.

His Excellency the President , Uhuru Kenyatta clad an army wear on Tuesday morning waking up the nation to a new style that he has adopted to. He is the cool , freestyle President that Kenya has been surprised by and yesterday he made many smile when he clothed the army uniform while presiding over the Kenya Defense Forces Day at the Kenya Military Academy in Lanet, Nakuru. Gospel singer Shiru Wa GP seemed to have made the same move as she shared a photo of herself wearing an army wear.
Earlier in September H.E President Uhuru contributed 1 million shillings towards Shiru Wa GP’s medical fund that was billing to about 2 million shillings. She was so grateful to the President who seems to be a great fan of hers as when he won the election the song that he requested on his first radio interview was her song.

President Uhuru Monday ended days of anxiety among Kenyans by announcing that he would be honouring summons by the ICC to attend October 8 status conference. During a special sitting of the Parliament, the president also announced that he had appointed DP William Ruto as acting President during the time that he will be at The Hague.
The president however made it clear he was attending the status conference on his personal capacity since he was charged before he became as president and his status as Head of State is not on trial. He said the move should not be used to set precedence for other sitting Heads of State to honour ICC summons.

Uhuru maintained that he is innocent of all the accusations levelled against him and expressed optimism that the case will be terminated since even the prosecutor has admitted that there is no sufficient evidence to enable the case to go on.

When i first saw the this picture of Jacque Maribe with our Very own president i immediately had a flashback of president Obama , Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning Schmidt and British Prime Minister David Cameron selfie during Mandela’s Burial.
That photo of Obama, Helle and Cameron was a unique one since it was the first from heads of states and that’s why it went viral . I believe also in Kenya our President makes a record of not just taking his first selfie but also having it with first with a Journalist.
With this photo Jacque also becomes the first journalist in Kenya to take a selfie with a president.

A student from Highway Secondary school cracked everyone’s ribs by his choral verse at the national drama festivals hosted in Mombasa.
After safaricom set up a paybill number for Daniel Owira and Jaguar paying his school fees now President Uhuru has also joined to support him by providing full scholarship for Daniel Owira up to University Level.
