Citizen Tv Host Makena Makes Cover For A Top Magazine With Amos And Josh

The beautiful and talented Yvonne Makena,our small sister, and friend has made cover on one of Kenya’s most known magazines with TPF finalists Amos and Josh.

This is her first cover on a magazine and Makena couldn’t hold her joy as she shares of how GOD has kept guiding her in her journey. Recently in December 2013 Makena was chosen as a tv host on Citizen Tv Pambazuka show and making cover on the Salon Magazine couldn’t make her year any better.

Makena says : So many good things have happened this month of February, but this one definitely tops my list. If you haven’t already,grab a copy in any leading supermarkets or ask for one during a salon appointment  I hope my story encourages you to keep trusting in our ever faithful God!! Be blessed my friends!

Makena (Najua Hutaniacha) Aspires To Be A Radio Presenter

Worship singer Yvonne Makena who is a Groove Award winner for her touching and blessing single Najua Hutaniacha has great dreams in her career.

Currently studying and also pursuing her career as a gospel singer Yvonne Makena has more to add in her docket of skills. She lets the cat out of the bag but not that kind of a “bag” as she hopes to be a radio presenter one day.

On a recent interview after scooping her debut award in gospel Yvonne Makena revealed how she loves to see herself in the radio booth. Looking how soft spoken Makena is, we would love to see how she would sound but thinking more on that we feel she might be a great inspiration to her listeners.

Makena Probably The Next Kambua?

Yvonne Makena has been like that blessed young little girl with a soft voice but with a huge passion to serve GOD.

Looking at her at first I wouldn’t have known that she was a worship singer not until I hear her singing Najua Hutaniacha which later on went to scoop Groove Awards Worship Song Of  The Year 2013.

This would have come as a surprise to many having been categorized with Jimmy Gait, Eunice Njeri along the same nomination.

Now to Kambua she is one lady who has been growing and growing in the gospel ministry since she released her first Album “Nishikilie”. Many would look at her as more of  Tv/Radio Presenter (On Citizen Tv and Hot 96Fm)  but also a consistent worship singer as her songs have one message its all about GOD.

As for Makena it seems she is following Kambua’s footsteps looking at her first song which is worship and also on an interview she revealed “Kambua is like a guide and mentor to her in music”.

Also looking at the fact that not only does Yvonne Makena like singing but she also hopes that she could be a radio presenter one day.

From all indications it seems Makena will be the one to most possibly fill the shoes or come closely to be like Kambua.

We pray for them in their ministry as we wait and see.
