Through an unusual long note which he confessed to it, Maina Kageni went on to appreciate GOD for being his foundation and for leading him to his purpose of radio.

maina

I woke up as early as possible because I want to enjoy as much of this day as I can… I have much to be thankful for… My Maker, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Seer of All, Decider of All Fates, I shall forever bow before You!! My TWO Mum’s, Rahab Wangui Kageni (for birthing me today, Happy birthday!!) and Helen Wanjiru Mwangi (my aunt who’s every bit a Mum to me), my brother Muturi (Tuts), my sister Ciku, my listeners (you are my biggest supporters, comrades and my rock!!), my BFFs Elizabeth Kamunge, Catherine Magua, Hrh O’Raini, Janealice Mutuota, Lucy Osoro, Samuel Muthondio, Flossy Floss (get back onto FB!!), Sebastian Wafula, my career builder and confidante Daniel Churchill Ndambuki…..

To my boss Patrick Quarcoo, you once looked me in the eye and asked me if I could handle the pressure of working for you (I hope I am meeting your expectations), my peeps at Kiss 100 Kenya, (‪#‎KenyasNewKiss‬), Classic 105 Kenya (‪#‎GoodTimesAndGreatHits‬), East FM Kenya, Radio Jambo, 105.5 XFM, Keep It KISS (Kiss TV Kenya), The Star, Kenya, Mpasho News (mpasho.co.ke), Bamba TV (Professor Bamaba – “it ISS me….. lol), our amazing team in Sales, Accounts, HR, Office Support, Front Office, as well as everyone at Lion Place….

Today, as I say hello to another year, we must remember Makari Kituyi who won’t live to see it, having left us yesterday… he inspired much of where we’re heading to at Radio Africa… ‪#‎RIPMakariKituyi‬

Our mission is to leave behind a better, stronger, more prosperous Kenya… we’re not there yet but if we focus at what makes us 1 as opposed to what makes us 42, we’ll get there quicker… there’s so much we need to get done as a Nation….. everyone has a responsibility and a role to play, be it elective or selective…. what we post on social media has an impact far greater than we imagine….. responsibility therefore is no an option but a duty…. let’s pull together… we can do this…. the naysayers MUST be damned…. a little bit of thought, a little bit of love and we’ll get closer to where we need to be… thanks for your love and support… it’s something that I will NEVER take for granted….
Sorry this post is a tad long but we celebrate birthdays only once!!!!!! Have a great day!!!! …and like Bob Marley sang, “Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, None but ourselves can free our minds”. AMEN…

(Inspiring) Maina Kageni : “When Westgate Re-Opens I Will Be The 1st One To Eat There”

One of the scary moments of this nation Kenya when armed terrorist attacked our beloved nation by taking the Westgate Mall under Siege.

maina kageni post

This news really shook many Kenyans especially those who lost their loved ones including H.E Uhuru Kenyatta. Now I feel not many people would not want to go to a place where it was really scary but Radio Presenter Maina Kageni believes otherwise.

The message is that we wont be scared and intimidated by terrorists and this is what Kenyans need to believe in. In his message of encouragement he says he will be the first one to eat there once the mall Re-Opens. Read the message below :

“Our condolences to the friends and family of the victims in the Westgate siege. God is with us. He is always watching us.

By the way, the moment Westgate Mall re-opens, I shall be the first to head there for a meal and do my my shopping. We shall not be cowered by these terrorists and their acts. The Kenyan spirit is strong! The Kenyan spirit is deep! The Kenyan spirit is remarkable”
