The annual Rift Valley mega concert was hosted by new artiste of the year L Jay Maasai at Afraha Stadium,in Nakuru on this past Sunday 21st December. An event to remember it was for the Nakuru residents as L Jay Maasai not only brought his dancers and jolly band to give a live rendition of his songs but brought a list of other award winning artistes to help him headline the concert.

From Size 8 , Praise Makena, Lady Bee , Betty Bayo , DJ Mo among many other artistes the concert was with pomp and splendor bringing in a dazzling spirit of the festive season in Nakuru.

The emcees who joined him to light up the spirit of the crowd were xtiandela , mc abel , Dr Ofweneke and Mc Njugush.

From the land of the ‘ndauwo’ L Jay Maasai is clearly finishing the year on a high after he was awarded with 2 more awards at the recently concluded gospel awards hosted at Laico Regency. L Jay Maasai who made his major break through in the gospel industry with Laleiyo together with Shiru Wa GP has just been awarded with 2 awards at the new teeniez awards named Xtreem Awards.

L Jay Maasai had earlier in the year received two Groove awards for new artiste of the year and Rift Valley song of the year and many were left wondering who is this artiste?. With an emotional tribute that was dedicated to his uncle, L Jay Maasai moved hearts of the audience when he graced the podium to  receive the award accompanied by his mother.

Now he has received two more awards at Xtreem Awards coming a few months after he was featured on Coke studio and  just a week before he hosts his Rift Valley Annual Mega concert with other gospel artistes.

Groove Awards New artiste of the year L Jay Maasai has revealed that he is bidding goodbye to some of the things that have let him down in life. Being a christian artiste L jay Maasai has decided to solidify his life with GOD by letting go of all the lies that the world and people have said to him.

L jay Maasai in his new song titled Maa Leji exemplifies his life in Christ in which he urges the listeners to put their trust in GOD and not men. As life is quite tempting it may lead to pitfalls which make man drift away from GOD so how better to live for GOD who will never lie or forsake us.

Hacking is something that has been on the rise in Kenya and it seems it has caught up with new artiste of the year L jay Maasai. L Jay’s official face book page has been hacked by an anonymous user with few of his followers noticing that.

The page under the name L Jay Maasai Muzic has been posting dirty things which would probably portray the image of the gospel singer in a bad way. This he saw and he contacted us to make all his followers aware of the incident.

Groove Awards Winner L Jay Maasai on Saturday went out to support new talent at St. Georges school in Nairobi as he continues to pursue his music ministry as a gospel artiste.

L Jay Maasai who was awarded at Groove Awards as the new artiste of the year was invited by the Edumed Trust on their Talent Search aimed at supporting needy but bright kids at St. Georges School. This was another great course for the new artiste of the year who has continued to wow many Kenyans through his songs titled Tapala and the hit called Lalieyo.

Edumed trust aim is to support the education for bright but needy students and at the same time motivating them to live a fulfilling life.

On  Saturday  they hosted a talent show and called L jay Maasai to be part of it as they plan to promote new talents through education.

The real Ndauwo/L Jay Maasai is celebrating again after he was awarded at Groove Awards  2014 as the new artiste of the year. L Jay Maasai was awarded as the best upcoming male artiste of the year at the just ended Talanta awards that was hosted on August 8th In USA.

L Jay Maasai’s break through to the lime light came when he did an amazing collabo with talented  Shiru Wa GP who is known for hit song Agiginyani. The song called Laleiyo was a combination of two talented artistes from different geographical jurisdictions but later on it turned out to be a greater thing as it united two regions that is central and Rift Valley.

Laleiyo song later on went to win the Rift Valley song of the year at Groove Awards 2014 and L Jay too got an award as the upcoming artiste of the year 2014. Now his dream could only get bigger and bigger as before he was awarded at Talanta last weekend he was nominated for the forthcoming Africa Gospel Music Awards, AGMA 2014 that will take place on 24th August.

A dream starts with a thought and L Jay thought about his life in music and started the journey now its just for him to keep on going praising GOD.
