‘MORE OF YOU’ by Janet Otieno and Mirelle Basirwa Takes East Africa by Storm

After making her debut in the industry with Napokea Kwako, Janet Otieno has done it again with a huge song with international artiste Mirelle Basirwa who has worked with artistes like Don Moen, Lenny Le Blanc among others.

This surely is a song that each station should be playing after award winning gospel singer Janet Otieno and Mirelle Basiwa partnered in a song dubbed More of You.

In just weeks after the release the song has already clocked over 100,000 views putting it among the top gospel videos to have been released in the month starting June.

In a released presser the artistes covey the message of the song as :

“Less of me and more of God requires me to die to my flesh daily. Less of me and more of God requires me to “TRUST YOU GOD”! less of me and more of God is the only way that my enemy is able to be defeated, Less of me and more of God is the only way to live a life of victory in Christ Jesus, Less of me and more of God is the only way to SALVATION AND ETERNITY WITH CHRIST!”

Mirelle Basirwa is responsible for the Choir Bethel of the Church the new Jerusalem of Brussels, and traveled the world within the framework of its Department of praise and worship.

Janet Otieno and Papa Dennis Crowned 2015 Mwafaka Awards Female And Male Artiste of The Year

The 2014 Xtreme Awards Artiste of the year, Janet Otieno scooped this year’s best female gospel artist of the year at the 5th Mwafaka Award that went down over the weekend at KICC.

The gospel singer who is just two years old in the industry came to the limelight when she released the hit song ‘Napokea Kwako’ a collaboration with Tanzania’s gospel artist, Christina Shusho that really propelled her career in gospel music and saw her win her first award at Mwafaka 2013 for collabo of the year.

Janet Otieno has also been nominated for the prestigious international award,the Sauti Awards in Atlanta,USA recently held in August this year.

Bagging the award for the best male artist of the year was Papa Dennis, the’ Injili’ hit-maker singer. Papa Dennis was nominated along other seasoned gospel male artists such as Bahati and Willy Paul.

Papa Dennis who has already made a name for himself, has collaborated with big gospel artists such as Daddy Owen for their hit song ‘Foundation’.

The gospel artistes were also nominated for two other Mwafaka Awards with Daddy Owen, for Collaboration of the year award and Video of the year award.

The Duo, Papa Dennis and Janet Otieno who posed for a picture together were elated thanking God and their fans for the support they had received.

Through her Facebook status, Janet celebrated her win and prayed for all who have supported her to be blessed.

Award winning gospel singer Janet Otieno is back with a new song after she released Roho Wako called Nisamehe in which she has featured talented artiste called Rigan Sarkozi.

Looking at life it would be improbable to say that a person would have lived without hurting another in business or in personal life. Janet Otieno feels that as much as people hurt each other its important to forgive any person who might have done you wrong.

“I Need To Do A Collabo With JANET OTIENO” : Mr Seed States

Gospel artiste Mr Seed this week revealed to Uliza Links that his major dream is to do a collabo with Janet Otieno. Mr Seed who shares the same name of Otieno with the renown female artiste reiterated that featuring in a song with Janet Otieno will make his dream come true.

Mr Seed has been like a star of collabo’s because most of the songs he has featured in have gone to bag awards on various gospel awards gala.

When he was starting in music he did a song with MOG called Papa GOD that won a Groove Award. He later did a collabo with his brother Bahati which went to win an award at Mwafaka Awards 2013. In 2014 he did a collabo with Betty Bayo called Ghai Ti Mundu and amazingly it scooped two awards at Groove 2014.

With his talent on collabo’s always leading to greater success will this plea to do a song with Janet Otieno lead to another award ?

Christina Shusho a lady with passion to serve Christ with her whole heart has featured in a new song done by a lovely Singer of Kenyan decent, making a debut in the Gospel Ministry by the name Janet Otieno . This comes after Shusho did another song Napenda With Geraldine Oduor who brought us ‘Yesu Kedo’.

This song is truly a blessing, and will surely touch the hearts of many named “Napokea Kwako“. Categorized as an all worship to GOD for his continuous and never ending Love.
