Award winning gospel minister Janet Otieno who is passionate about her calling and dedicated to spreading God’s light through worship has released yet another great song titled Nifunze.

“Teach me, Lord, the way of your decrees, that I may follow it to the end. Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart.” Janet Otieno declares in the music video that has a simplistic message but cutting across the listeners vision.

 

This is another blessed tune from the singer who once captured hearts of the youth and old from her debut hit single Niongoze after releasing Napokea Kwako with Christina Shusho.

Gospel artiste, Janet Otieno, who is famously known for her hit single ‘Napokea Kwako’ featuring Tanzanian gospel artiste Christina Shusho, will be representing Kenya in the annual Sauti Awards which are held in America. Following her recent nomination at Groove Awards for Female Artiste of the Year, the gospel songstress has been nominated under the same category in the Sauti Awards which are set to take place in August this year.

Sauti Awards is a notable gospel award ceremony that takes place in America annually which sets to recognize and appreciate gospel artists and musicians around the world.

Janet Otieno’s nomination for Female Artiste of the Year at this event implies that the songstress’ career is at an all time high despite her not winning an award at the Groove Awards this year.

“GOD Is Bigger Than Your Problems And Wiser Than Your Enemies” : Janet Otieno Says

Gospel singer Janet Otieno who recently released her new song “Tembea Nami” encouraged her followers last week by stating that GOD is bigger than the problems we have. Janet Otieno inspirational words were inspired from the book of Romans 8:31 and Isaiah 54:17 and through these two verses she brought a message of hope to her followers.

She said :

God is bigger than your problems & He is wiser than your enemies. The situation might seem too difficult for you to handle but remember to leave it all in God’s hands. Nothing can stand against you & prevail unless God allows it. Just trust God & remain faithful. “If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31. “No weapon that is formed against you will prosper.” Isaiah 54:17.

“Tuwape Heshima Aah” : Janet Otieno Leaves For One Of The Biggest Music Contest In USA

Mwafaka Awards winner Janet Otieno on Tuesday evening left the country for the USA where she has been invited to perform and share about her ministry. Janet Otieno will perform at the Africa Gospel Music Contest that will be hosted on different States in USA and will involve different countries from Africa.

Janet Otieno is the only representative from Kenya who will be taking part in the contest which has chosen various artistes from different countries. This will another great turn in her music which started years ago when she did a collabo with award-winning gospel singer Christina Shusho who is her friend too.

A total of 16 artistes are expected to grace the event which will be hosted at the Cross Over Christian church in Mary Land Ave.

Mother Of The Young : Janet Otieno Takes Time Off To Care For Needy Kids In HURUMA

The mother of the young , Janet Otieno who recently released her new song Heshima, on Sunday took time off to care for needy kids at Christ Chapel Glorious Community Centre in Huruma.

Janet Otieno accompanied by close friends and family decided it was time to give back to the society looking at the fact that what she has comes from GOD and GOD blesses a cheerful giver.

Janet Otieno on Sunday 14th August shared with kids at Christ Chapel Children’s Home about the love that GOD showed us through the death of Jesus Christ. She had the opportunity of playing with kids, singing with them and donating food stuffs to the home which has been under the care of one woman by the name of Gloria Ndunge.

Pastor Lumumba played the role of emcee of the event and in deed he blessed the event with his wise words.

For The Heart Of Giving : Janet Otieno Contributes Food Stuffs To Needy In Ruaraka

Recently crowned Mwafaka Award winner Janet Otieno was on Saturday 23rd August involved in the act of charity as she donated food stuffs to the needy at Utalii Sports ground. Janet Otieno believes that giving is more important than receiving and on that special Saturday she was joined by L Jay Maasai and Deny C to support the good course hosted by the REF Church.

The Redeemed Evangelistic Fellowship church held a medical camp in Utalii sports club in Ruaraka on 23rd August and what a day this was for those who attended as they got free medical services from the organizers. The event gave the nearby community an opportunity to be offered free medical check up services with the church also holding a Dorcas room at the same time  for contributions to be offered to the attendees.

Janet and her husband attended the event and were able to contribute food stuffs to the needy who mostly live around Mathare Slums and what a way to show love for those whom are your neighbors.

Renown gospel singer Janet Otieno has released her new video Heshima  a few days after being awarded with a prestigious Collabo of the year award at the annual Mwafaka Awards ceremony held at the KICC , Nairobi.

The brand new jam Heshima is Janet Otieno’s 4th single coming after Napokea Kwako with Christina Shusho , Uniongoze, Ni wewe and Mtafute. Napokea Kwako and Mtafute  are the two most watched and downloaded songs from her list by Kenyans and people from the East African countries at large.

The single Heshima is a swahili word which means respect. A video that is meant to remind or inform people on the importance of mothers and the role that they play  in their lives, therefore the need to show respect to them.

There are many familiar faces that you have been seeing often on your Tv screens  featured in the video including among  others Faith Muturi and her mother and Lj Maasai with his mother.

This beautiful single  in my own view will be one of the best that her fans have  ever seen from her since the content, creativity and effort put in both the video and the audio are truly unmatched. It is a  song that will definitely go along way in inspiring people in the Kenyan society and the entire world.

With just a year in the gospel ministry the light of Janet Otieno was meant to shine at the right time after she did a collabo with award-winning gospel singer Christina Shusho from Tanzania. Napokea Kwako was the song that the two friends did together and now Janet is thanking GOD for the great award the song won last weekend.

Napokea Kwako was recently awarded for the collabo of the year at the just ended Mwafaka Awards 2014 making it to be one of the great songs that brought two artistes from Kenya and Tanzania together.

Quite soft spoken she is but Janet Otieno has since then been able to establish her self as a worship singer whose music ministry could only be bigger and better.

She went on to thank Almighty GOD for her award and the fans who have supported her music since she started back then in April 2013 by writing this tribute below :

“Thank you Everyone for your Support!! Yesterday I won a “Mwafaka Award” in the category of “Collabo Of The Year”… Surely, Wakati ni uu huu waku barikiwa, Zamu ni yangu sasa kupokea ,Nimechoshwa na shida za dunia, Napokea Kwako Baba Napokea Kwako, Napokea Kwako Baba Napokea kwako!!”

The award marked Janet’s first ever gospel award in Kenya and she plans to continue praising and serving GOD as will be seen in her new video “Heshima”.

She graced Churchill show on Thursday 15th May with her supportive husband as she took her new song “Mtafaute” on a “tour”.

She did appear confident as she made her entry with her debut song called “Napokea Kwako” recorded with her friend Christina Shusho and later on after a few questions by the host Churchill, Janet Otieno sang her lovely song “Mtafute” to the audience that had swarmed the show.

Jannet Otieno is rising higher and higher in her music as a gospel minister since she made her debut with Napokea Kwako featuring award winning worship singer Christina Shusho.

Janet has now released her 3rd video and single  called “Ni wewe” after releasing Uniongoze which has touched and blessed so many souls. Ni wewe is produced by a different producer called Bizi B showing her path to growth in the ministry.
