Following on his brothers footsteps of his elder brother, Daddy Owen finally got married to his better half Farida Wambui at KAG Assemblies of GOD that his brother exchanged vows at.
Daddy Owen quit the bachelors club on Saturday 2nd April at KAG cladding a white wedding attire accompanied by his closest grooms men who included Eric Omondi and Rufftone.
Daddy Owen had hosted a list of artistes at his launch on Sunday at Carnivore grounds and even had a well branded cake to mark 10 years of success in gospel music. From Mariga to Janet Mbugua to Eunice Njeri the venue was filled with public figures who had turned up to celebrate with him.
Celebrated gospel singer Daddy Owen is celebrating 10 years anniversary today at the Carnivore grounds dubbed as the Xtended Party. The event has been graced many public figures this including among others Eric Omondi, Davidthestudent , Nameless , Dunko and Jimmy gait.
Hundreds of his fun’s have turned up to witness the celebration of his big day. Owen is also launching his new album to Vanity.

After Citizen Tv news anchor , Janet Mbugua ,Sauti Sol’s Mudigi Savara shared their experience with Daddy Owen now Renown singer Wahu Kagwi has also joined shared her heartfelt message as Daddy Owen celebrates 10 years . Wahu who has been in the music scene for long revealed on how she always views Daddy Owen for the period they have known each other.
In a post shared with by Owen, Wahu said:

Known by many as the King Of Kapungala Daddy Owen is celebrating his 10 years as Kenyan gospel singer and the great achievements he has done throughout the period.
Staying relevant for a decade as a gospel singer is not easy and this is the reason why Owen is joined in his celebration by great people like Janet Mbugua. Janet who is also the founder of “Inua Dada” Foundation shared on her personal experience with Daddy Owen as she carried out her Inua Dada Initiative.
“Owen and I met when i asked him to participate for my foundation, Inua Dada .He is humble ,funny and very passionate about issues affecting vulnerable people. We clicked right away ”
Janet went on further to share on her experiences with Daddy Owen’s music while she was working as in South Africa.
“I used to listen to Owen’s song Tobina when I was working in south Africa and would tell my colleagues that’s a Kenyan and we have talent. He’s now a friend an I wish him all the best . 10 years is a Huge feat . Here’s to 50 more years to come ….. Hongera Daddy Owen.”
His new video with Daddy Owen called Foundation will tell you all as it captures the beautiful streets of United Kingdom in a script that portrays a man who walks out of his marriage and later picks himself up to reconcile with his wife and daughter.

Daddy Owen who recently arrived from the UK where he was shooting his new video with Papa Dennis will yet again show that Disabled persons deserve to be appreciated in the Kenyan society in an event that is sponsored by Safaricom.
The event is an invite only and will be hosted at Safari Park Hotel from 6 pm with several high profile public figures are expected to grace.
Award winning gospel artiste Daddy Owen is back in the country after he had an amazing brief holiday in Dubai and United Kingdom. Daddy Owen shared his joy with his followers after jetting back in the country on February 18th.
Daddy Owen on his stay outside the country was able to visit his friend Victor Wanyama in Southampton and make a brief stop in Dubai where he took his soon to be wife Fridah for a valentine’s day treat.

Award winning gospel artiste Daddy Owen showed his fiance what Love is all about by taking her to Dubai. Daddy Owen who left the country a week ago to shoot his new video with Papa Dennis in London decided to make his journey even better by spending his Valentine’s day in Dubai.

Daddy Owen is set to marry his fiance called Fridah Wambui this year after his family went to pay the bride price for Fridah late last year in what is called ‘Ruracio’ in Kikuyu.
It seems the journey of Love has just started for this lovely couple and wish them the best.
With soccer being the main delight, Victor Wanyama took Daddy Owen to watch him play against QPR in a game that ended 1-0 for Southampton after Mane scored a late goal for the Saints. Sadio Mane’s 93rd-minute winner moved Southampton up to third in the Premier League as manager-less QPR suffered a fifth straight defeat.
Lucky for Owen he was able to watch the game unfold and at the end of the match he was awarded with the Jersey that Victor Wanyama wore against QPR.
This is a souvenir that Daddy Owen says he will highly treasure and says he is not planning to wash it.

Celebrated gospel artiste Daddy Owen left for London with uprising gospel artiste Papa Dennis where they are set to shoot a new video called Foundation. The two artistes recorded a song last year and now the sponsor of Papa Dennis Sadat Muhindi has taken them to London to shoot the new video.
This will be the third video that Maliza Umaskini run by Sadat Muhindi will be shooting for Papa Dennis outside the country after the previous two were shot in South Africa. Makekes by Jimmy Gait was one and the other was Injili.
This is a must watch for sure as Sadat usually goes out for the best when it comes to video production.
For Thika fans this 31st December would have been a day to remember as Daddy Owen was set to launch his 5th album alongside a list of many artistes including groove awards male artiste of the year Bahati.
News just in is that Daddy Owen has postponed his concert due to unavoidable circumstances.
Daddy Owen hasn’t revealed yet why he has postponed the concert but it seems people from Thika will have to look for new avenues of ending the year on a high.

Owen had a few days ago cancelled his awards ceremony dubbed Malaika Tribute Awards till next year and now this seems to apply for his 5th Album launch.
Daddy Owen shared of his excitement of the new role that will run for a year by stating :
“GLORY TO JESUS! Just been announced the BRAND AMBASSADOR for 1 year for SAFARICOM’S “KIPAWA” Campaign!”
Daddy Owen’s appointment comes latter to his brother Rufftone’s role as Korea good will ambassador in Kenya and it seems the blessings are in full pour in their family which is majorly blessed with talent of singing.
Daddy Owen efforts to promoting un sung heroes has been quite evident in the public eye as he has made very great steps in promoting un sung heroes who are usually physically disabled in different ways. This passion moved him to initiate the annual Malaika Tribute Awards that celebrates physically challenged individuals who have done great things in the Kenyan society .
The two who are renown in the gospel industry met down to sign a contract that would make Bahati perform at Daddy Owen’s album launch on 31st December at Thika Stadium.
The Mama’s kid is currently the hot cake that everyone want’s a piece of as we plan to end the year 2014 in style and looking at his fan base/popularity in 2014, most event organizer’s will be looking for Bahati to perform at their events,
Daddy Owen being close to Bahati couldn’t afford to let that opportunity pass and that’s why he called him to make plans for his performance at his 5th album launch.

While there are 2 other major events on 31st December i.e Groove party and TSO, it would be really interesting to see where Bahati will perform looking at the demand he has currently.
Daddy Owen decided that it was time for him to look at a different angle of life when he embarked to meet up with his brothers from another mother Victor Wanyama and Mc Donald Mariga.
We are not sure of Daddy Owen’s prowess in football but the King of Kapungala seems he could do better as one he already has a hairstyle for a soccer player like for celebrated Senegalese player El Hadji Diouf and two he has “brothers” playing in international leagues.
Daddy Owen had time to share with Mc Donald Mariga and Victor Wanyama at the Parklands Sports Club where the two were training.
Well after he surprised his fans during the easter holidays by realising his gospel jam “defender” that was greatly received. Owen has hit back to the studio to work on his new album that will be produced by the skilled producer Umi Alex.
