Bahati has confessed that as a gospel artiste he has only one gospel song since 2014 and personally he feels that he has not represented gospel music as expected from his calling. Bahati opened up after the recent comparison of gospel artistes to secular artistes who have released ‘gospel’ songs.
“I personally feel & accept that as “BAHATI” I have not Represented Jesus & the Gospel Music as God expects. I know this might not be the best Platform to Speak about this but We all Know that The Public has Lost Trust in Us Gospel Musicians.”
Bahati had previously released Kuchu Kuchu, Maria, Lover among other songs but he feels he has contributed to muddling the name of JESUS.
Can we all agree that The Saints & the Streets don’t See God in Us anymore??? Yes we Can’t Ignore the fact that the Church is Complaining that’s why “NONE” of our Urban Gospel Songs can be used in Praise & Worship Services. I feel Guilty & Sorry for Contributing in Devaluing THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST- God Says if We don’t go back to What He called us to do GOD WILL AS WELL RAISE STONES to Praise Him & in a better way than we Can. YESSSS GOD CAN REPLACE US IN A MINUTE‼️
God has given us Supportive Media Personalities, DJs & Loyal fans but we have let you down. Our Focus has been making Hit songs, Scandals & Headlines and we are not Proud of Our Lord God & Savior JESUS CHRIST. Yes We Forgot the “CALLING” and Ministry… I personally feel my Last Gospel Song was “BARUA” in 2014 nanimechangia Sana kupaka Jina la Yesu Matope… LORD PLEASE FORGIVE ME 🙏 Some People might see this as Self Crucification but NO!!! God says clearly in 1ST JOHN 1:9….
Gospel artiste Kevin Bahati has come out to ask for forgiveness on behalf of himself and other gospel artistes after recent conversations on mainstream media and social media. Bahati categorically stated that his only gospel song is Barua and personally he feels that he has not represented gospel music as expected from his calling.

Gospel artiste Bahati Kevin made history in the Kenyan books by unseating the president for about 2 mins. Never has it been seen in Kenya that a performer has actually pulled a sitting president from his seat and sat on it.
Bahati became the 1st artiste in Kenya to pull the president from his seat and sit on it while performing his loved song Mama. The singer stretched his hand out to the president in a way of inviting him to the stage to dance with him but no sooner had the president stood than Bahati sat on his seat and performed the song to the 1st lady Margaret Kenyatta.
After the performance twitter went wild with mixed reactions but on his hand Bahati was excited about it.
“HISTORY WRITTEN✅✔✅ I “BAHATI” become the Shortest Serving President as PRESIDENT UHURU “VACATES” his seat.”
The above photo is the one the Mapenzi Hitmaker publicly certified as his favorite and you could speculate that one of the reasons Bahati likes this pic is because of the triplet effect. Becauseit’s always an epic feeling when you encounter an individual that you have similar facial features that are so alike that you can easily be mistaken for twins. It’s considered worthwhile if you have a face that has some resemblances to a celeb.
This is the case with Bahati’s lookalike who is an exact replica of the Itakuwa Sawa Sensation. If you can easily pay a show after you see a poster of Bahati’s lookalike. Do drop your comment on www.facebook.com/ianckollins, www.twitter.com/ianckollins, www.instagram.com/ianckollins
Gospel artiste Bahati has finally broken the silence by releasing a song titled ‘Itakuwa Sawa’ and before that noting an open letter revealing why he went silent for over 3 weeks on social media.
22 years ago at Pumwani Maternity is where my 1st cry was heard just before joining my People of Mathare Slums where I call home. Growing here I tried alot hoping someday I’ll make my People proud.Tried football like any other kid from the slums hopin MYSA will open that door siku Moja nipande Ndege. Nlikazana Chuo sana niitwe StareheBoys as every of my Friends wished but hatukutoboa.I have seen Poverty & I know how it feels sleeping on an empty stomach. That’s why I can’t stand to see my people go thru same pain.
Yes I don’t have enough, still young gat a life to build, still struggling to get there but bcoz I know what Poverty means that’s why I still share the little with you my people. For the Past 21days av shed silent tears from a heavy heart not believing what I do for the love of my people is what they use to fight my Calling.
My hard life taught me sharing, giving even when it’s not enough. But hurts to see it getting Twisted everytime God sends me to help the people He’s put into my life. Yes I have learned to be quiet,God told me Son be Still and focus on what I called you to do,But am human too.
WATCH ITAKUA SAWA
I chose my silence when I heard Morgan ask me “Daddy Mbona wanasema sisi sio watoto wako???” For a moment I shed a tear infront of my son thinking is it really worth Doing all I do??? I know many of you here are parents kindly tell me this… Is it really worth committing your Lifetime to adopt a child to Seek Sympathy??? Is it really worth paying all this school fees,Medical fee & upkeep because of a name??? Why then Do they go to an extent of using my innocent kids as a way of Bringing me Down??? Only me and my 3 Angels know how we Survive. They are only people who can tell you Bahati struggles his level best to make sure there’s something on the table.
For the last year and half I have been running an hospital to help parents with kids facing disability around the slums of Kayole but have I ever said it to anyone??? Have ever screen shot of how much I pay the doctors monthly??? Have i ever asked anyone for sponsorship??? Then why is this happening to me??? At my age I try my best that’s why in pain I just took time off to ask God if this is Worth my pain and He just made me realise this is Just the beginning my work has not yet started. It’s a time that God used to teach me forgiveness reminding me that Greater fights are on my way.Am still here to do what God called me to do,am still here to fight for what I believe in
Speaking Hope to the Ghetto Child… Am still here to speak to the Hearts of my People.Just got Online to see thousands of messages & prayers from you my people & am sorry i could not respond. Also sorry to my daughter in school I could not answer calls at such a time because I have always spoken hope to you but that’s what I didn’t have at this time of pain,Remind Morgan & Purity that Iam okey & I love them…Family & Fans this what I have prepared to you during this Hard times
Gospel artiste Kevin Bahati broke down into tears after losing one of his greatest fans to cancer. 12 year old Charity who had been diagnosed with Cancer at Kenyatta National Hospital passed on December 28th just days before the start of the new year.
“It was the Most Painful Moment ever Since I came to this Music Ministry. Seeing One of us go back to Dust. You’re not my Fans, You’re My Family. And we will Stand Together even in the Darkest Hours!!!” , Bahati mourned on his social media handles after the burial.
Charity was finally laid to rest on Tuesday at her rural home in Murang’a County. The ‘Barua’ hitmaker was present to bid Charity farewell and offer support to her family.
Charity had her left leg amputated and was in the last stage of her cancer treatment. Her wish before she left was to have the Groove Awards Male artist of the year visit her, pray and sing with her.
Gospel artiste Willy Paul on Saturday noted down a heartfelt letter to Bahati months after they were reconciled un knowingly at Groove Awards nomination gala at Arboretum Grounds. The two budding gospel artistes who have been seen as ‘competitors’ in the music industry created a big controversy when Bahati allegedly stated that Willy Paul had stolen his songs.
Willy Paul on his part never responded to that allegation but on Saturday he penned a note apologizing for any wrong done towards Bahati who scooped Male artiste of the year at Groove Awards 2015.
“( BAHATI )Today I woke up with my heart feeling so heavy….. feeling that there’s something missing…. I want to talk about a brother that I’ve not been in good terms with, a brother who was a real brother before all the fame… I know many might hate me because they were made to believe that I stole which was never the case, so today I stand here to make peace and to ask anyone who I might have offended to forgive me… I am only human.. no man is perfect…. man is to error and so am I.
First and foremost, I really want to be in good terms with my brother @bahatikenya I want us to do a clean ministry, no competition no nothing…. if possible, a collaboration with @bahatikenya would really show unity among our followers and listeners.. as we speak our people are divided like the secular GULLYSIDE AND GAZA and it’s not supposed to be like that. We are supposed to be one.. so my brother @bahatikenya let’s come together… put our differences aside and join hands in taking our ministries to the next level….. I know men have an ego but I put mine down to bring peace among us.
I remember when we first both won, we were best of friends. I won the male artist 2013 and you won the new artist 2012… and we were both happy… we spent the night at my place with joy in our eyes as brothers … I wonder what happened… am writing this from deep down my heart.. we have given the devil a chance in our lives and that’s why all these is happening… it’s time to chase away the devil… Again, let’s not make it look like a competition coz that’s not what it is… it’s ministry.. and the only way we can do that is by forgiving one another, working together and moving forward… am ready to work with you anytime bro. Let’s make our God happy. He put us here with a purpose… let’s keep the focus.. Baraka.”
