It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of singer Avril’s father. Mr Mwangi passed away on Tuesday, 22nd March 2016 at 2pm.
Mr Mwangi was a dear father and husband who was loved by all and he will be dearly missed.
The family asks that their privacy be respected during this trying time as they try come to terms with what has happened.
“I have always been very clear about how my faith is important to me. I would not be here if it was not for the love of Christ, so I had no objection whatsoever for the intercession from such powerful people in the ministry.
The events however do not dictate that my career and strategy had an overnight overhaul. I continue to live my life in Christ as I always have through the guidance of my pastor and my mother who every one who knows me, knows that she’s my rock in the word of God,” says Avril.
With all the reports that were stated on different platforms purporting that Avril has chosen the path of Christ, the management has come out to state that the singer has not crossed over to gospel.
Kaka Empire which is the official management for Avril after she left ogopa deejays has revealed that the singer was only being prayed for and it doesn’t mean that she will start singing gospel.
“Avril is not crossing over to the gospel camp. Sections of the media have been reporting the singer is now a gospel artiste which is untrue. This comes after a video surfaced online showing the singer being prayed for by pastors.
Avril met Christina Shusho over the weekend as she attended the Dreams Come True Initiative at Catholic University of East Africa on Saturday. She had been invited to speak as a member of the arts and entertainment industry.
Christina Shusho invited Avril on stage and proceeded to ask her whether she would like to be prayed for. The singer did not hesitate and pastors in the audience came forward to pray for the artiste. While on stage the two discussed about working together in future.”
Renown Kenyan artiste Avril Nyambura this past weekend found her self in the spirit zone when Christina Shusho and a couple of ministers of the word held her hands in prayer at Zetech University.
According to V Mobile Avril and Christina Shusho had been invited for the Nationwide auditions for dreams come true were held at Zetech University and surprisingly Christina Shusho invited her to sing with her.
Further details on whether Avril decided to choose Christ can not be adduced but from the video Avril is seen being held closely a lady preacher who lays hands on her praying that her music may have a greater impact on the lives of those who listen.
