Popular music producer R-Kay is a Burundi native who started making music professionally when he moved to Nairobi. In 2001, he started a gospel record label together with his best friend Mbuvi. They mainly signing gospel musicians called ShammahBoyMusic, and produced artists such as Roughtone, Henrie Mutuku, Jogg-c, Kidum and many more.

R Kay wrote music for various groups including the group Shammah who brought to you the hit song “Ukilya Moko” , a song that went on to become the first gospel song to receive massive airplay on secular stations.

Looking at the success that he has gained in Kenya it wouldn’t make sense for R Kay not to have someone supporting his work and praying for him. That’s why he got married to Kenyan singer Taji Kamande and on Thursday he celebrated her after they marked 10 years in marriage.

R Kay being a creative producer he did some thinking on what he should come up with as a present for his wife Taji on their anniversary. Creatively he designed an anniversary card with the beautiful words of “To My Gorgeous wife” printed on the cover of the card.
